VIPD Is Seeking Jose DeJesus Perez Tonight In Connection With An Alleged Assault

FREDERIKSTED — Police said they need your help tonight to find a St. Croix man who is wanted for a domestic violence-related crime.

Jose DeJesus Perez. 38, is wanted for second-degree asssault-domestic violence, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.

A woman walked in the Wilbur Francis Command in Frederiksted today and said that DeJesus Perez choked her and slammed her to the ground, according to the VIPD.

DeJesus Perez is described by police as being an Hispanic male, 6-foot, 0-inches tall, weighing about 249 pounds, with a bald head, brown eyes, facial hair, large build and a light complexion.

Police said that he is known to frequent bars in the Frederiksted town.
