VIPD: Shooting Behind Consumer Gas In Plessen Leaves One Man Critically Wounded

FREDERIKSTED — Police said a man was shot repeatedly and critically wounded last night in a shooting behind a popular Estate Plessen Service Station.

On Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at about 7:49 p.m., 911 received a call of requesting emergency assistance for a shooting victim in the rear of the Consumer Gas Station in Frederiksted.

When police arrived on the scene they found a black male individual with multiple gunshot wounds to the body lying on the ground in the rear of the service station, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.

The injured man was transported to the Juan F. Luis Hospital by ambulance and was immediately taken into surgery and remains in critical condition, according to the VIPD.

The Criminal Investigations Bureau is actively working on leads and it continues to ask the community for information that might lead to an arrest.
