St. Croix’s Pernell Towers Jr. Arrested On Illegal Possession of Ammunition Charges Thursday

CHRISTIANSTED — Members of the VIPD’s Criminal Investigation Bureau and Special Operations Bureau paid a visit to Harbor View Apartments in Golden Rock on Thursday.

Pernell A. Towers, Jr., 32, of Christiansted was arrested and charged with illegal possession of ammunition, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.

On March 21, 2019, at around 7:07 p.m. Thursday, the members of the Criminal Investigation Bureau and Special Operations Bureau travelled to the Harborview housing community to make contact with a Pernell A. Towers, Jr.

“Officers soon learned that Towers was inside one of the apartments,” VIPD spokesman Glen Dratte said.

Permission was granted to enter the apartment Towers was in, as officers came in contact with Towers, who was in possession of ammunition. 

Towers was placed under arrest and transported to the Wilbur H. Francis Command Police Station, where he was booked and processed. 

Towers 32 years old bail was set in the amount of $10,000.00. 

He was unable to post bail in the amount of 10,000.00.

Towers was transported to the Golden Grove Adult Correctional facility pending an advice-of-rights hearing.
