Collision Between F-150 Pickup Truck And Motorcycle Leaves One St. Croix Man Dead Saturday

MID-ISLAND, ST. CROIX — A Ford F-150 pickup truck was traveling north on Northside Road in the vicinity of Straker Motors in Estate Glynn when it collided with a motorcycle traveling south about 9:17 a.m. on Saturday.

“A 39-year-old black Male with dreadlocks was thrown off the motorcycle and succumb to his injuries,” VIPD spokesman Glen Dratte said.

The driver for the truck sustained minor injuries, according to police.

“The motorcycle was not registered or insured to be on the road,” Dratte said.

The accident is under active investigation by the VIPD Traffic Investigation Bureau.

“The identification  of the victim is being withheld pending next of kin notification,” the VIPD said.
