Government House Security Vehicle Involved In Two-Car Collision Near Gateway Gas Station Today

CHRISTIANSTED — A vehicle assigned to Government House’s Executive Security Unit was involved in an auto collision in St. Croix this morning.

The accident occurred after 7 a.m. on Queen Mary Highway in the vicinity of Gateway Service Station, Government House spokesman Richard Motta said.

Emergency medical personnel responded to the scene of the accident and transported the occupants of the other vehicle involved to the Juan F. Luis Hospital, according to Motta.

“The member of the Executive Security Unit who was operating the government vehicle was not injured,” he said.

The accident is currently under active investigation by the Virgin Islands Police Department’s Traffic Division.
