Routine Traffic Stop Results In St. Croix Man Being Arrested On Drug Charges

CHRISTIANSTED — A 29-year-old St. Croix man was arrested on drug charges after his vehicle was searched during a routine traffic stop.

Asha Felix of #20A Estate Slob was arrested about 10:02 p.m. on October 16 and charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.

Felix was caught up in a traffic stop on Strand Street in Christiansted, and fled from police, but was eventually detained, according to the VIPD.

Police searched the Candido Guadalupe Terrace resident’s vehicle and found a cache of illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia.

Unable to post $10,000 bail, Felix was remanded to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections at the Golden Grove Adult Correctional Facility.
