VIPD: Woman Says Burglar Entered Paradise Home While Children Were There

FREDERIKSTED — A burglar entered a Paradise home while her children were there and made off with stolen items, authorities said.

The 911 Emergency Call Center received a report of a burglary at Estate Paradise about 4:04 p.m. on Thursday, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.

When police patrol officers arrived, they contacted a woman who said who said “that her home was burglarized while her minor children were inside,” VIPD spokesman Toby Derima said.

“The suspect entered the home through a back window and stole numerous items,” according to Derima.

This case is currently under active investigation.
