AZ Refinery Worker ‘Falls’ From 3rd Floor Of St. Croix Condo To His Death: VIPD

CHRISTIANSTED — A St. Croix refinery worker “fell” from a third-floor condo balcony to his death on Frenchman’s Hill in Estate St. John on Saturday night, authorities said.

The 911 Emergency Call Center got a report of an injured male who reportedly fell from the 3rd floor at St. C Condominiums about 9:23 p.m. Saturday, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.

“The victim was discovered at the area, appearing to have sustained serious injuries to his body as a result of the fall.,” VIPD spokesman Toby Derima said. “He was transported to Juan F. Luis Hospital via ambulance and later succumbed to his injuries.”

The dead man has been identified as 66-year-old Randolph K. Sue of Mesa, Arizona. Sue was employed at the Limetree Bay Terminals on St. Croix’s south shore.

The investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the incident, Derima said.
