Domestic Violence Case Escalates From Beatings And Thievery To Arson: VIPD

FREDERIKSTED — A St. Croix man who illegally entered his ex-girlfriend’s home last month and beat her and stole things from her was arrested on arson charges Saturday night, authorities said.

Dasha Graham, 24, of Candido Guadalupe Terrace in Estate Slob was arrested at 9:20 p.m. Saturday and charged with first-degree arson, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.

Earlier that day, the 911 Emergency Call Center received a report of a car fire in Estate La Reine, according to the VIPD.

“Investigation revealed that the vehicle is owned by a female who was formerly in a relationship with Graham, and that Graham was the individual who set the vehicle on fire,” VIPD spokesman Toby Derima said.

Graham was also arrested on February 5 for entering the same victim’s home without permission, taking items, and assaulting her.

Graham was remanded to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections pending his court appearance.
