Home Invader Startled By Homeowners During Burglary Arrested By VIPD

CHARLOTTE AMALIE — A home invader who was startled when he realized that people were home at the time he was burglarizing an Anna’s Retreat home on Saturday has been arrested by police.

Dionno Brooks, 25 of Anna’s Retreat, was arrested about 12:15 p.m. Tuesday and charged with second-degree burglary, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.

“Brooks was positively identified as the individual who entered a home in Anna’s Retreat on April 18 without permission while the residents were there, taking cash and documents,” VIPD spokesman Toby Derima said.

This case is still under active investigation.
