CHRISTIANSTED — Police are investigating the death of a 62-year-old St. Croix resident who was found hanging in her yard on Monday morning, authorities said.
The unidentified woman had “no vital signs” and was discovered by a relative at 6:30 a.m. Monday, VIPD spokesman Toby Derima said today.
Police have not ruled out death by suicide, which would have to be confirmed by an autopsy performed by the St. Croix Medical Examiner.
The incident is being investigated by the Criminal Investigation Bureau (CIB).
Mr. Derima did not immediately respond to a question about where the dead woman lived on St. Croix.
