St. Thomas Male Shot Multiple Times At Oswald Harris Court Thursday Night, But Survives: VIPD

CHARLOTTE AMALIE — Police are investigating the non-fatal shooting of a St. Thomas male at Oswald Harris Court on Thursday night, authorities said.

The 911 Emergency Call Center dispatched officers to the Oswald Harris Court after a report of “shots fired” came in at 10:26 p.m. Thursday, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.

Officers traveled to the area and found a male victim with multiple gunshot wounds, according to the VIPD.

The unidentified victim was transported to the Schneider Regional Medical Center by ambulance for emergency treatment.

“At the hospital, the victim stated that he was in the area of Building 4 when he heard gunshots,” VIPD spokesman Toby Derima said. “He said that he ran into the archway of a building and realized that he had been shot.

The male victim was listed in stable condition, Derima said.

This case is currently under active investigation.
