Mafolie Road Work Project Shut Down Due To ‘COVID-19 Related Issues,’ DPW Says

CHARLOTTE AMALIE – The Virgin Islands Department of Public Works said Thursday that construction work on the Mafolie Road Project has been suspended until September 30 due to “COVID-19 related issues.”

Temporary signals and barricades will remain in place, DPW said. As usual, the department is urging motorists to use caution when driving through this area and all active work sites.

“The Department of Public Works appreciates the community’s patience as they work to improve the territory’s infrastructure,” DPW spokeswoman Renee Exius said.
