CRUZ BAY — A St. John woman last seen on her charter tour boat four days ago was not found today despite an exhaustive search, authorities said.
The search for missing businesswoman Sarm Joan Lillian Heslop, 41, continued in the Caribbean Sea in the waters around Frank Bay, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.
Divers from various local and federal law enforcement agencies and just ordinary citizens searched hundreds of square feet of sea around Frank Bay during daylight hours today, according to police.
The VIPD’s Sac Cannonier was among divers searching for Haslop who was last seen in a boat moored in Frank Bay on St. John
Not only are divers scouring the waters around Frank Bay, but volunteers on dry land are searching the coastline for Sarm.
“Unfortunately, this effort proved unsuccessful,” VIPD spokesman Toby Derima said.
Haslop was first reported missing to police on Monday. She was last seen on Sunday.
Ryan Bane, 44, of Detroit, Michigan is the owner and operator of the Siren Song charter boat which hosts six-day cruises costing up to $17,000. It is a Leopard 4700 luxury catamaran yacht.
