Market Street Man Arrested On Domestic Violence Charge After Damaging Property

FREDERIKSTED — A St. Croix man was arrested Wednesday afternoon after police said he damaged property at a woman’s residence, authorities said.

Paul Henry Campbell III, 24, of Market Street, Frederiksted, was arrested at 4:50 p.m. Wednesday and charged with destruction of property-domestic violence, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.

“Campbell allegedly destroyed property at the residence of his former intimate partner,” VIPD spokesman Toby Derima said.

Campbell was remanded to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections without bail as per the territory’s domestic violence laws. He is in official custody at the Golden Grove Adult Correctional Facility pending an advice-of-rights hearing.

All individuals listed as arrested or charged with a crime in this report are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
