Once And Future St. Croix Police Officer Goes Out On Patrol In Christiansted Town

CHRISTIANSTED — For one “junior” police cadet on St. Croix, it was the dream of a lifetime fulfilled.

To finally go out on patrol on the Christiansted Boardwalk as part of a Virgin Islands Police Department special forces tactical unit.

Only for this new “officer” — he’s not in the St. Croix Police Academy — he’s in grammar school.

The “officer in training” is depicted here on Queen Cross Street near the Caravelle Hotel in Christiansted town.

“This future police officer had one wish, to be a cop for a day,” the VIPD said on Twitter. “It begins with the youth. Thank you sharing your dream with VIPD,’ police said on Twitter today.

Resume building for your child’s future career can never begin at too early of an age.

The news of the “future police officer” on St. Croix was posted by the VIPD to Twitter at 10:06 a.m. today.
