Learn the ancient art of stone knapping to make arrowheads and make your own atlatl (spear-thrower) and spear. (The atlatl is considered the precursor to the bow-and-arrow and was once used throughout the Caribbean.)

“You will also learn how to use different techniques and natural tools to get a sharp edge from local stones,” Oriol said. “Experience tools and toolmaking as people would have thousands of years ago!”

This workshop is funded by the Department of Planning and Natural Resources, Division of Fish and Wildlife as part of the Hunter Education Program with funding through the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
