Help Police Find Eduviges Mercedes Amparo Missing On St. Thomas Since Good Friday

CHARLOTTE AMALIE — Police need your help to find a woman who has been missing on St. Thomas since Friday evening.

Eduviges Mercedes Amparo, was last seen at her residence, located in the Market Square area of St. Thomas at about 5:30 p.m. Friday, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.

Her significant other told detectives with the Major Crime Unit that Amparo said she was going to the grocery store near their residence, and never returned home on the Friday evening, according to the VIPD.

The person who reported Amparo missing filed the report with the Major Crime Unit about 6:10 p.m. Saturday, police said.
