Space Force Sergeant Salutes St. Croix Family From Saudi Arabia On ‘Day of The Deployed’

PRINCE SULTAN AIR FORCE BASE — A United States Space Force sergeant serving temporarily in Saudi Arabia sent a shout out to St. Croix family members on National Day of The Deployed recently.

“Hi, this is Sergeant Garvey tapping in from PSAB,” Sgt. Garvey said. “I want to say ‘hi’ to my friends back at home station Schriever (Space Force Base), Colorado Springs. I want to say ‘hi’ to my son and my mom back in the Virgin Islands, St. Croix. I miss you guys. I love you so much and I can’t wait to see you.”

Sergeant Garvey, a native of St. Croix, is currently serving in the United States Air Force as part of its 378th Air Expeditionary Wing at Prince Sultan Air Force Base in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The National Day of the Deployed is a day to honor and celebrate our military personnel stationed overseas. It was on October 26, 2022 this year.

Deployments, while essential to the mission, mean time away from those we love. As a special way to mark the day, tune in to see some messages from our CE Airmen currently deployed with the 378th Air Expeditionary Wing in Saudi Arabia.

To all of our deployed Engineers, and those who have stayed behind, we thank you for your sacrifices in support of our nation.
