CHARLOTTE AMALIE — St. Thomas police said a suspect was charged in the Sunday night stabbing of two men at Krush Nightclub.
Kheli “Masai” Ubiles was arrested today and charged with two counts of first-degree assault, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.
The victims arrived at the Schneider Hospital emergency room in private vehicles at around 11 p.m. Sunday. Each man was treated for multiple stab wounds.
Officers from the Richard Callwood Command were dispatched to Krush Nightclub in regards to a fight where someone had been stabbed, the VIPD said.
Investigation revealed that a second victim had also been stabbed and was traveling to the Schneider Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Each man was treated for their wounds and one of the individuals remained in the hospital for further medical treatment, due to the severity of his injuries, according to police.
After a wanted poster was circulated for the arrest of Ubiles today, the suspect surrendered to authorities without incident, the VIPD said.
He was processed, charged and remanded to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections pending an advice-of-rights hearing.
This case is currently under active investigation by the Criminal Investigation Bureau (CIB).
