Shortly thereafter, a caller to 911 “reported a man down,” police said. It is the fourth murder in St. Thomas since the new year began.

“Responding officers arrived in the area and discovered one victim who appeared to have suffered multiple gunshot wounds,” VIPD Communications Director Glen Dratte said. “EMT’s arrived on the scene and concluded that the male did not have any vital signs.”

Thompson was arrested by U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents at the Cyril E. King Airport on November 17, 2021 for providing false identification to federal officers, according to police records.
