CHRISTIANSTED — Alert VIPD officers with the Special Operations Bureau spotted a gun in a crowd of merrymakers after the Christmas Boat Parade near the Christiansted Boardwalk and placed a suspect under arrest.
Judah Donadelle, 22, was arrested Saturday and charged with carrying of a firearm openly or concealed and possession or sale of ammunition, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.
The SOB officers were on foot patrolling Christiansted town as part of “Operation Set De Tone” near the Caravelle Casino about 10:32 p.m. Saturday, according to the VIPD.

VIPD mug shot of Judah Donadelle, 22, of St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands.
Officers observed a male walking south on Queen Cross Street with what appeared to be the handle of a firearm protruding through his shirt from the front portion of his waistline, police said.
Officers approached the male and conducted an investigatory stop which resulted in officers discovery of an unlicensed loaded black 9mm Caliber handgun tucked in the male’s waistband, according to police.
Donadelle does not have a license to possess or carry a firearm in the U.S. Virgin Islands and was immediately taken into official custody, VIPD spokeswoman Kishma Chichester said.
Bail for Donadelle was set at $50,000.00. The suspect was scheduled to appear at an advice-of-rights hearing in Superior Court on Monday.
