Raheim George accused of head-butting woman in Smith Bay, VIPD says

CHARLOTTE AMALIE — Police responded to a domestic violence call in Smith Bay on St. Thomas on Saturday.

Raheim George, 51, of Smith Bay, was arrested and charged with simple assault-domestic violence and aggravated assault and battery-domestic violence, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.

The victim, an adult female, stated that on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at about 3:00 a.m.,
Raheim George struck her face several times with his head, causing her to sustain a black eye, according to the VIPD.

George was found, taken into official custody and transported to the Criminal Investigation Bureau about 3:00 p.m., police said.

The suspect, George, provided a statement but denied the allegations, according to police.

Nevertheless, he was placed under arrest as the charges indicate above.

George was booked, processed and transferred to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections at the St. Thomas jail.

He is scheduled for an advice-of-rights hearing scheduled for Superior Court tomorrow.

This case remains under active investigation by the Domestic Violence Unit.
