St. Thomas man accused of having child porn on his computer

CHARLOTTE AMALIE — A 23-year-old man on St. Thomas has been accused of having child pornography on his computer along with related offenses.

K’Moi Hart was arrested and charged with computer pornography along with visual medium depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a minor, obscene internet contact with a minor, and second-degree unlawful sexual contact, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.

Bail for Hart was set at $100,000.00.

On Friday, January 17, 2025, School resource officers responded to a call for service at Charlotte Amalie High School regarding computer pornography, according to the VIPD.

Criminal Investigation Bureau detectives later met with the minor victim along with their parent.

The minor victim stated that she began a friendship that developed into a relationship with a 23-year-old male that went on for approximately eight months, police said.

On Friday, January 31, 2025, K’Moi Hart presented himself at the Criminal Investigation Bureau, according to police.
