After a long night with showers moving across the islands, weather conditions already started to improve at the U.S. Virgin Islands and soon in Puerto Rico, the National Weather Service said.
The marine and beach conditions remain hazardous through at least Sunday, according to the NWS.
Those going to the beach and small crafts are encouraged to follow the flag warning system and stay ashore, respectively, the NWS said.
Today St. Croix will be breezy with intervals of clouds and sunshine and a high of 88, AccuWeather said.
Tonight St. Croix will experience partly cloudy conditions with a shower in the area late and a low of 76, according to AccuWeather.
