ST. CROIX — Authorities in the U.S. Virgin Islands are asking for the community’s help to locate a 34-year-old man wanted in connection with a domestic violence investigation.
The Virgin Islands Police Department (VIPD) Criminal Investigation Bureau released a “Wanted” notice on Saturday for Joseph Ventura, also known by the alias “Joe.” According to forensic records, Ventura is wanted for Simple Assault – Domestic Violence.
Suspect Description
Police provided the following physical profile for Ventura:
- Height: 6’2”
- Weight: 152 lbs
- Hair: Black dreadlocks
- Eyes: Brown
- Occupation: Coconut Vendor
- Birthplace: St. Croix, USVI

Ventura is known to spend time in several specific locations across the island, including:
- Sunny Isles
- Stop and Shop vicinity
- Mountain
- Concordia
- White Lady
