Two Armed, Masked Men Hold Up People And Force Them To ATM To Take Out Money

FREDERIKSTED — Two armed masked men robbed a pair of people on Strand Street on Saturday evening, authorities said.

A call came in to the 911 Emergency Call Center at about 8:45 p.m. Saturday about a robbery in the vicinity of Strand Street, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.

The people reported that two masked men approached them and forced them into their vehicle at gunpoint, according to the VIPD.

The gunmen forced them to drive to the Scotia Bank in Diamond, where they were forced to withdraw money from the ATM.

After getting the cash and a cell phone, the gunmen left the scene in the unidentified people’s silver Jeep Wrangler rental, heading west.
