VIPD: St. Thomas’ Marciano Rivera Charged In Multiple Knifepoint Rapes of 13-Year-Old Boy

CHARLOTTE AMALIE — A St. Thomas man was arrested late Sunday night after being charged with sexually assaulting a 13-year-old boy at knifepoint on at least five separate occasions, authorities said.

Marciano Rivera, 18, of 173B Anna’s Retreat was arrested about 10:45 p.m. Sunday and charged with first-degree aggravated rape, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.

On Monday July 29 at about 6 p.m., the Criminal Investigation Bureau went to the Schneider Regional Medical Center to investigate a possible sexual assault.

When police arrived at the hospital, they interviewed a 13-year-old boy who told them he was sexually assaulted on July 15 about 4:30 p.m.

The boy told police he was sexually assaulted by an adult male on five separate occasions.

He said that the adult male held him at knifepoint, while sexually assaulting him.

He also said the adult male also threatened to kill him and other minor children if he told anyone about the rapes.
