VIPD: Wanted Poster Issued For Accused Murderer Antonio ‘Soda’ Gooding

CHARLOTTE AMALIE — Police still need your help to find a St. Thomas man wanted for questioning in a murder case that occurred at one of the territory’s most popular beaches.

Antonio “Soda” Gooding, 20, is wanted in reference to a homicide that happened on June 6, 2019 at Coki Point beach, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.

Gooding is a black male who stands about 6-feet, 0-inches tall and weighs about 130 pounds, according to the VIPD.

The VIPD said late that the photo it issued on January 8 for Gooding was not the suspect, according to police spokesman Toby Derima.

“The VIPD would like to sincerely apologize to the individual in the photograph, to his family, and to the community for submitting incorrect information,” Derima said, adding that the current photos are correct.
