CHARLOTTE AMALIE — Two armed men robbed a fast food restaurant of an undetermined amount of cash at a shopping center in mid-island St. Thomas on Friday night, authorities said.
The 911 Emergency Call Center dispatched officers to Pizza Hut in the Fort Mylner Shopping Center regarding a robbery in progress at 10:45 p.m. Friday, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.
“Officers responded to the restaurant, where they subsequently interviewed employees who stated that two black males dressed in dark clothing entered the establishment with handguns and demanded money,” VIPD spokesman Toby Derima said.
An undetermined amount of cash was taken, and the suspects fled the store in an unknown direction, according to Derima.
This incident is currently under active investigation.
The VIPD is requesting the community’s assistance in finding those responsible.
