FREDERIKSTED — Police arrested a St. Croix man based on a Superior Court warrant on rape charges Thursday afternoon, authorities said.
Aaron “The Giant” Henry, 23, of Stony Ground, was arrested at 5:55 p.m. Thursday and charged with first-degree rape, first-degree assault, second-degree aggravated rape and first-degree unlawful sexual contact, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.
“Henry allegedly sexually assaulted a female on or about July 23,” VIPD spokesman Toby Derima said.
Bail for Henry was set at $150,000. He posted bail and was released to a third-party custodian pending an advice-of-rights hearing.
The Virgin Islands National Guard released a prepared statement at 10:47 p.m. on August 29 saying that Aaron is a full-time airman in the VING.
Henry said on Facebook that he is also a part-time “sales associate” at Champs Sports in the Sunny Isle Shopping Center. He also said on social media that he attended the St. Croix Educational Complex High School.
