CHARLOTTE AMALIE — A St. Thomas man who allegedly brandished a weapon in front of two people in late July has been charged with assault, authorities said.
Youhan Lawrence, 40, of Bellevue was arrested at 4:10 p.m. Saturday and charged with third-degree assault, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.
“Investigation revealed that Lawrence pointed a firearm at two people on July 30, VIPD spokesman Toby Derima said.
Lawrence’s bail was set at $25,000. Unable to post bail, he was remanded to the custody of the Virgin Islands Bureau of Corrections pending an advice-of-rights hearing.
This case is currently under active investigation.
