CHARLOTTE AMALIE — Virgin Islands Department of Health confirmed the territory’s 100th and 101st deaths related to COVID-19.
The deceased are a 68-year-old male on St. Croix and a 74-year-old male on St. Thomas, according to Health.
“We have reached a grim milestone in our battle against the coronavirus with the most recent deaths,” St. Croix Senator Kenneth “Kenny” Gittens said. “My heart goes out to all who have been affected in any way and pray God’s peace be with all those who mourn a loved one who was lost to this dreaded virus.”
Senator Gittens encouraged everyone in the territory to “remain vigilant.”
“Avoid mass gatherings, wash your hands often and wear your masks,” the senator said.
