St. Thomas Man Walking In Savan Says He Didn't Notice Right Away That He Was Shot In The Butt

CHARLOTTE AMALIE — A St. Thomas man walking near Savan on Wednesday afternoon told police that it took him a couple of seconds to realize that he had been shot in the butt.

On Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at about 2:53 p.m.a gunshot victim showed up at the Schneider Regional Medical Center Emergency Room. 

Upon officers arrival to the emergency room ,contact was made with the victim a 31 year old male, who stated that he was walking in the Savan area  when he heard a gunshot

The injured man said that he ran off he began to feel pain and realized that he was shot. 

He was transported to Schneider Regional Medical Center in a private vehicle to seek medical treatment. 

The victim sustained a single gunshot wound to right flank side of his body

He was treated by the Emergency Room Doctor for his injuries

This case is presently under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Bureau.
