St. Thomas’ Glenroy Francis Sr. Charged For Alleged Rape Of Minor in January

CHARLOTTE AMALIE — A St. Thomas man is charged with statutory rape in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a minor early this year.

Glenroy Francis Sr. 50, is charged with a rape that took place between an adult male and a minor on Tuesday January 22, at about 11:12 a.m., the Virgin Islands Police Department said.

On Monday, July 9, 2018 at approximately 6:28 p.m., Francis was present at the Criminal Investigation Bureau, St. Thomas district, where he was advised of his constitutional rights and was placed under arrest for first-degree rape-domestic violence, according to the VIPD.

Francis was remanded to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections pending an advice of rights hearing.

No bail was set as per the Virgin Islands domestic violence statute.
