VIWMA Garbage Facilities To Be Closed Christmas, New Years Day

CHRISTIANSTED — The Virgin Islands Waste Management Authority (VIWMA) said that all solid waste facilities to include the authority’s landfills, transfer stations and convenience centers territory-wide will be closed as follows:

People are encouraged to use the VIWMA 24-Hour Hotline at 844-WMA-USVI (844- 962-8784) to report solid waste and wastewater related emergencies.

The VIWMA said it “wishes all a safe and happy holiday season. “
