FREDERIKSTED — A St. Croix rum has been named one of the top five rums in the Caribbean this year.
Cruzan Rum, made in Estate Diamond (west), was given the distinction of being the No. 4 rum in the region by USA 10Best Caribbean.
Below is a list of the winners and the order the rums finished.
1. Topper’s Rhum Distillery – Sint Maarten
2. Brugal Rum Center – Dominican Republic
3. Casa Bacardi – Puerto Rico
4. Cruzan Rum Distillery – St. Croix, U.S.V.I.
5. The Cadushy Distillery – Bonaire
6. Clarke’s Court Rum – Grenada
7. John Watling’s Distillery – Nassau, Bahamas
8. River Antoine Rum Distillery – Grenada
9. St. Nicholas Abbey – Barbados
10. Mount Gay Rum – Barbados
