POLICE: St. Croix’s Dequan Forde, In Prison, Arrested For June 2018 Home Invasion

FREDERIKSTED — A St. Croix man who was arrested in a gunpoint robbery and for allegedly bringing drugs on an airline last year — has been arrested again this year.

A concerned citizen told police that he was robbed and assaulted by several men who entered his home without permission on June 1, 2018.

After an intensive police investigation, Dequan Forde, 21, was identified as one of the individuals who committed the robbery, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.

The Criminal Investigation Bureau (CIB) arrested Forde at 2:01 p.m. Friday and charged him with first-degree robbery, first-degree robbery-home invasion, second-degree robbery-home invasion, first-degree assault and second-degree assault, according to the VIPD.

Forde was already in the custody of the Bureau of Corrections (Golden Grove ) and was returned to BOC pending an advice-of-rights hearings.
