Don’t Be A Burglary Victim This Holiday Season: Hide TV, Appliance Boxes: VIPD

FREDERIKSTED — Police Commissioner Trevor A. Velinor is urging the public to avoid becoming a burglary victim this holiday season.

It is proven nationally that burglaries spike during the Christmas season.

The VIPD is urging the community not to place the empty boxes of appliances and televisions in front of their homes for trash pickup.

“Break them down and dispose of them at the Waste Management Authority bins throughout the community,” Commissioner Velinor urged.
