VIPD Investigating Drive-By Shooting At Oswald Terrace Court In St. Thomas Tonight

CHARLOTTE AMALIE — Police are investigating a drive-by shooting in an east downtown area of St. Thomas tonight, authorities said.

Police officers were dispatched to the Schneider Regional Medical Center (SRMC) in reference to a gunshot victim, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.

The man who was shot told police that he was walking in Oswald Harris Court when someone in a vehicle he didn’t know shot him, according to the VIPD.

“The victim stated that he was transported to the hospital for medical treatment,” VIPD spokesman Toby Derima said. “The victim stated that he has no knowledge of who shot him.”

This case is currently under active investigation by the Criminal Investigation Bureau (CIB).
