Police Release Name Of St. Thomas Man Shot To Death Near Garden Street Friday

CHARLOTTE AMALIE — Police continue investigate the shooting death of a St. Thomas man near Garden Street in downtown St. Thomas Friday morning.

Jamal Jacobs, 39, of Lovelund Apartments, was shot multiple times before 8:30 a.m. Friday, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.

Jacobs was identified by next of kin as the shooting victim, according to the VIPD.

This case is currently under active investigation.
