EAST END, St. Croix — Police arrested Taylor Hasson, 19, of Grapetree Bay, about 9:07 p.m. on Monday on a warrant issued by the Superior Court. He was charged with incendiarism, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.
“Hasson was identified as using Molotov cocktails to ignite fires at the Point Udall monument in July of 2019.” VIPD spokesman Toby Derima said. “Other persons who participated have been identified, and the investigation continues into this incident.”
Bail for Hasson was set at $25,000. He was released to a third-party custodian.
