Adventure Hill Man Shot Twice In Ambush Outside His Home, But He Survives

FREDERIKSTED — A St. Croix man was ambushed outside of his home in Adventure Hill last night, but survived the shooting after sustaining two gunshot wounds, authorities said.

The 911 Emergency Call Center was notified of multiple gunshots discharged in Adventure Hill near Paradise Road at 10:34 p.m. Monday, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.

A male victim with gunshot wounds arrived at the Juan F. Luis Hospital in a private vehicle, according to the VIPD. He was not named by police.

“The victim reported that he did not have any knowledge of the person that shot him,” VIPD spokesman Toby Derima said. “He was treated for injuries to his torso and leg, and was listed in stable condition.”
