Family Of Smithfield Man Fatally Shot At Fish Market In Frederiksted Release Photo Tribute Of Loved One

FREDERIKSTED — The family of an Estate Smithfield man have released a photograph of their slain loved one as a tribute.

Jahmandi Simon, 25, of Walter I.M. Hodge Pavilion was shot to death Sunday evening on Fisher Street near the Fish Market in Frederiksted.

Simon was alive when police arrived at the crime scene, but died from the injuries he sustained from the shooting later at the Juan F. Luis Hospital, VIPD spokesman Toby Derima said.

Police detectives are actively pursuing leads about the circumstances of Simon’s death and asked if you have information that could be useful to the investigation to please call them today.
