St. Croix Handyman Accused Of Using His Hands To Strangle, Assault Woman: VIPD

CHRISTIANSTED — A St. Croix handyman who allegedly used his hands for the wrong purpose — assaulting a woman — has been arrested, authorities said.

Christopher Dahl, 44, of Caribbean View Condominiums, was arrested Monday and charged with second-degree assault-domestic violence, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.

“Dahl is accused of strangling her and striking her with an object, causing injuries, the VIPD said.

The Estate La Grande Princesse resident was not offered bail as per the territory’s domestic violence laws. He was remanded to the custody of the Virgin Islands Bureau of Corrections (BOC).

Dahl’s LinkedIn profile says that he does “beautification, shower installs, shutter installs, new window installations, painting, roof work.”

The news of Dahl’s arrest was posted to Twitter by the VIPD at 5:19 a.m. today.
