Homeless Man Wanted For Stealing From Shuttered Hotel Arrested By Police: VIPD

CHARLOTTE AMALIE — A St. Thomas homeless man wanted for burglarizing a shuttered hotel last month was arrested by police recently, authorities said.

Jean Connor, 39, of no fixed address, was arrested at 9 a.m. on Saturday and charged with third-degree burglary, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.

Connor stands accused of stealing from the Palms Court Harborview Hotel on March 11, according to the VIPD.

The Palms Court Harborview Hotel is located at 4 & 5 Gamble Nordsidevej Street in Charlotte Amalie and is “permanently closed,” according to Google maps.

Bail was set at $25,000. Unable to post bail, he was remanded to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections pending an advice-of-rights hearing.

The VIPD said it “thanks everyone who shared our original post.”
