St. Kitts Native Identified As Man Shot To Death Leaving Driveway Thursday: VIPD

CHRISTIANSTED — A St. Kitts native who was shot multiple times as he was pulling out of his driveway Thursday has died from the injuries he sustained that morning, authorities said.

Deron Dixon, 35, of Estate Little Princess, was identified today by police as the shooting victim, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.

“Dixon reported to police that as he left his residence headed to work at approximately 5 a.m. on April 1, he heard gunfire and realized he had been injured,” VIPD spokesman Toby Derima said. “He stated that he observed a white vehicle leaving the area, but did not know who shot him. Dixon sustained multiple gunshot wounds about his body,”

He was transported to the Juan Francisco Luis Hospital & Medical Center for treatment. Dixon died Saturday at about 11 p.m. at the St. Croix hospital, police said.

Dixon said on social media that he is originally from Sandy Point, Saint Anne Sandy Point, St. Kitts and Nevis. There are pictures of him on Facebook with friends in London, United Kingdom.
