VIPD Thanks Governor Bryan and Senator James For PAL Center Renovation Funds

FREDERIKSTED — Police Commissioner Trevor A. Velinor, on behalf of the Virgin Islands Police Department, today extended his thanks to Senator Javan James for his partnership with the VIPD in leading the drive with the 34th Legislature in procuring funds to renovate the Police Athletic League (PAL) Center in Estate Whim.

“The renovation of this building allows for the VIPD to provide a safe and secure after-school and summer learning environment for our children,” Commissioner Velinor said.

Commissioner Velinor also extended his gratitude to Governor Albert Bryan, Jr. for signing the bill that authorized the funds for the renovations. “Governor Bryan understands the importance of having programs for the children of the community, and by signing the bill, he showed his willingness to have successful programs like PAL continue,” Commissioner Velinor stated.
