La Grande Princesse Man Accused Of Repeated Sexual Abuse and Rape Of Minor Arrested: VIPD

CHRISTIANSTED — A St. Croix man accused of the repeated sexual child abuse and rape of a minor was arrested on a warrant by Criminal Investigation Bureau detectives this morning.

Lyndon Tyson, 40, of La Grande Princesse, was arrested at 10:07 a.m. and charged with first-degree aggravated rape, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.

“Tyson allegedly sexually abused a minor child on several occasions,” VIPD spokesman Toby Derima said.

Tyson was turned over to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections after failing to post $150,000 bail, pending an advice-of-rights hearing.

All individuals listed as arrested or charged with a crime in this report are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
