It’s Not Too Late For The Disabled To Register To Vote on St. Croix and St. Thomas

CHARLOTTE AMALIE — In celebration of National Voter Registration Day, the Disability Rights Center of the Virgin Islands is hosting a voter demonstration and registration day on St. Croix and one on St. Thomas, sponsored by AARP of the Virgin Islands and in collaboration with the Virgin Islands Board of Elections.
The first event takes place on St. Croix in the Sunny Isle Shopping Pavilion, Tuesday, September 20th from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. with music by Stanley and the Ten Sleepless Knights. The second event is hosted on St. Thomas at the Tutu Park Mall, Wednesday, September 21st from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. with music by Quelbe Resurrection Band.

It's Not Too Late For The Disabled To Register To Vote on St. Croix and St. Thomas

The V.I. Board of Elections will provide voting machine demonstrations and a registration table for anyone that would like to register to vote. AARP of the Virgin Islands and the Disability Rights Center of the Virgin Islands will be on site with information, resources, and giveaways for the community.

 “This event came together to ensure the voting public understands how to navigate the voting process and to eliminate any anxiety on Election Day. Any questions our community has about accessing polling facilities, registering to vote, and special accommodations available, can be answered by the organizations on site,” said Angus Drigo, Executive Director of the Disability Rights Center of the Virgin Islands.
